I feel it is so important that women and their families receive one to one, holistic care during pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatally.

It is a known fact that women who are cared for by an independent midwife are far more likely to have a normal birth, use less drugs in labour, more likely to successfully breast feed and less likely to develop postnatal depression.

I offer a service which helps you achieve the birth you want using research based current information, which empowers you and your family to make informed choices about your birth.

I have worked as a midwife for over 25 years, both within and outside the NHS. I have hospital, community, birth centre, management, education and neonatal/Special Care Baby Unit experience.
